Seeing as I'm down and out for a few weeks, I thought I would ask what some of your favorite 1:18 and 1:24 die-cast models are, OPPO. One has really caught my eye and it's an M5 E60. It's a good price. I've also looked into several Corvettes and a nice tuned Golf R32 I can't seem to find anywhere.
So what say you OPPO? Let's see some of your favorite die-cast models. Plains, boats, trains.. It doesn't matter.

I have a wonderful 1:18 VW "Black Bandit" Bus from Greenlight that I like

I'll have to do some google-fu and see what that's like. It sounds cool.
I'm. Hoping to get a pickup truck, a trailer, a nice euro, and then like a track day kind of car. Just for a little baby display.

I need to work on that too... find some more 1:18 outlets.

That bus looks wicked by the way :)
I need tto rearrange my room a bit first and the decide where to hang a sort of display shelf or one of those 12 car cases. I'm undecided.

The Jeepster

Hmm. Does it have a hitch for a trailer? I'm trying to come up with a little baby display. The M5, a truck or. Jeep (lifted even) hauling a trailer with a track car on it, and then maybe one of those flatbed trucks with another older euro or Japanese racecar on it. I just want a little display for the man cave.

No, it does not.

Ah. Bummer. What scale is yours?

1:18. I heard about your crash yesterday, Hope you have a quick recovery!

Yeah.. It was awful. I'm looking at the car tomorrow. It will be an emotional moment. Do you have any other models? I'm just trying to smack some ideas into my head.

Yea, they do take up a bit of room, something I neglected to think about, so the bus is now dangerously perched on top of my bookcase...

I know I can make just a regular shelf work, I'll cut some wood to make a decent shelf and mount it, it's just the issue of where haha. I'll have to do some measuring and stuff. I have a vision for the little display, might even do 1:24. Just depends on what I can find.

Only this.

Hahaha. That's a cool little mini. Do you know if wheels and such are interchangeable? Sorry for so many questions. I'm new to this.

That's okay. I'm also pretty new to it as well. On my models, they're not. But I'm sure there's some out there that have interchangeable wheels.

I'm just looking at basic ones. Just the snap together kind. I like the factory wheels on pretty much all cars, but I'd like to mix and match and see what I could do. Just kinda make it different. Where do you buy most of yours? I've been looking on Amazon and eBay.

My first diecast car, a little bit broken, when i was a little kid i played with it, and the windshield came off but i mended it and it looks good right now. Its grey like the first picture

That's pretty cool. I don't remember mine. I'm trying to come up with a baby setup on my man cave. I want a euro, a domestic truck with a trailer to put a an older euro or JDM on. I so want one of those flatbed too. I know the two main companies to check out, it's just making the decision.

The two I found by chance. I was on vacation, and they were both $10, so I couldn't pass them up. :)

Those are the best kind of finds. Especially if they are cheap but good quality.

Great, well i hope you get well soon and keep oppo updated on what you think could be your next car.

Thank you, and I sure will but it will be quite some time before I can car shop again. I'll probably get nailed with a huge fine and all kinds of shit. I'll be going tomorrow to get the report and and see what's left of my precious JunkStang.

Yeah. The jeepster is good quality. It was manufactured by Matchbox. The cooper isn't. It was a promotional for some company, and it's pretty flimsy.

Yeah. It's shitty all around. I was on my way to the third and final day of training for Toyota Production, but.. Ya know..
I'm only 19 man. I put so many hours in so I could get that car.. And now it's gone.. I'm not here for sympathy or anything. It is what it is.

Damn, how long have you had the Mustang?
![]() 04/10/2014 at 16:54 |

I had it for two months. I took care of it and fixed everything that I could fix within reason of cost, but shit never works out.

I know its not the same thing but i had some tough times this year too, 1st of february i installed a short throw shifter on my v6 stang, and 7 minutes after leaving the shop where i did the work, a 16 year old stupid kid crashes his Mercedes into me. it damaged my steering... I suffered that entire month until my car got fixed.
Nobody was hurt, but his merc was totaled.

That's my second favorite style of 'Stang. I installed a steeda short throw, a steeda adjustable clutch cable, Flowmaster mufflers with true dual exhaust, fixed the whole sound system, and all I needed was a new roof and some different wheels. It will be 7-8months at a maximum until I can find another new edge that needs a little work. She wasn't perfect, but there it is.
